Two different configurations—9-slot and 14-slot—to meet all customer needs. Each slot is freely configurable, and the system operates in Plug & Play mode.
By combining various interface cards in the PXI slots with COTS instruments, it is possible to test the functionality of each card or the electronic system.
As an option, it can be equipped with an “ATEXI diagnostic tool” (consisting of a fixture and software) to enable a specific diagnosis of the system: this tool guides the operator in pinpointing the exact FAIL section.
ATEXIuses external test devices for each different board. Connecting the device is made easy thanks to the special mechanical design and the use of rugged interface test connectors. A small desk is an integral part of the structure, designed to hold product documentation or support troubleshooting activities.
Developed as a Plug&Play system to make it easy for test engineers to perform updates: it is shipped fully connected even in the base configuration, so customers can choose to add new features at a later date without having to shut it down for a hardware update.
This means that ATEXI was designed with a truly flexible and modular approach.
The ATEXI software system was developed to allow for the reuse of test sequences and drivers from existing instruments, using standard programming techniques. A dedicated GUI provides the user with access to all system functions, enabling full control of the system.
