SMT Assembly
TME srl has two complementary SMT production lines: the first is used primarily for the production of boards for fast prototyping and in-house production, while the second is dedicated to high-volume board production.
The SMT lines are capable of assembling various types of components—BGA, ultra-fine pitch, LGA, and QFN—and can process 42,000 components per hour using 02 and 01 packages.
The SMT soldering process is monitored and validated using inspection equipment, ranging from Solder Paste Inspection—which verifies the proper application of solder paste—to the standalone 3D AOI, which ensures the quality of the solder joints and the correct placement of components.
TME has a standalone 3D X-ray inspection machine capable of performing either spot checks or 100% inspections, which allows for the detection of any short circuits and voids on the circuit board.
Rework of BGA and micro-BGA components is performed using Freedom 3000 rework stations.

THT Assembly
TME has a department dedicated to the assembly of traditional PTH (Pin Through Hole) components
The THT assembly department consists of an automatic wave soldering machine and a selective soldering machine, designed to optimize and improve the soldering process; both can be used with either “lead-free” or “leaded” products, which are handled separately.
Workstations are customized based on the type of assembly required by the customer and are equipped with calibrated torque wrenches and computers that provide assembly information to the operator through operating instructions (Visual Aid).
TME has a semi-automatic press for inserting PRESSFIT components
Each workstation is equipped with a tracking system that monitors the progress of the task.
The preforming department for radial and axial components and specialized assemblies is located in a separate area.
Conformal Coating
TMEdisponehas a production line for the resin coating and painting of electronic circuit boards, located in a dedicated area that is appropriately separated from the rest of the production facility. It uses anASYMTEKline that allows for the application of acrylic and silicone coatings.
