GRISIS

“GRISIS – Regional-Scale Infrastructure Risk Management and Security” Project, pursuant to the Public Call for Expressions of Interest for the Development of Technology Platforms under the Program Agreement “High-Tech Clusters, Consortia, and Public-Private Laboratories for Strengthening the Scientific and Technological Potential of the Campania Region” (BURC No. 43 of May 29, 2017)

As a member of Consorzio T.R.E. — the Consortium for the Development and Transfer of Technologies and the Provision of Services in Southern Italy in the field of building renovation — TME is participating in the Grisis project, which aims to develop methodologies, techniques, and procedures for risk assessment and safety management of large-scale civil infrastructure and networks of goods and services.

Research topics are addressed from a multidisciplinary perspective in order to achieve a holistic analysis of risks (both natural and human-induced) to major civil infrastructure and, consequently, to develop techniques and applications aimed not only at risk mitigation and management, but also at ensuring the safety of large-scale infrastructure networks. In line with this approach, Grisis aims to develop not only technological solutions to reduce vulnerability but also to enable the integrated management of the various risks that may affect large-scale civil infrastructure.

As part of the project, TME SRL carries out the following activities:

  • 1.3.1: Design, development, and testing of a prototype for a smart node—either stand-alone or integrated into monitoring networks—for early warning (OR 1 “Products and methodologies for the management and mitigation of seismic risk before and after an event for strategic infrastructure and building networks”).
  • 5.2.1: Feasibility Study of an Early Warning System for the Naples Metro (OR 5 “Demonstration Projects”).
